Professor John D. Reveille

Originating from South Florida, Dr. Reveille received his B.S. from the University of Florida, his M.D. from Johns Hopkins, his Internal Medicine Residency from the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, and his Rheumatology Fellowship from Johns Hopkins. After three years on the Rheumatology faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, he has been at the University of Texas-Health McGovern Medical School since 1987, and Chief of Rheumatology since 2002. He was President of the Pan American League of Affiliated Rheumatology Societies (PANLAR) and of the Spondyloarthritis Research and Treatment Network (SPARTAN). Continuously NIH-funded since 1988, he served on Arthritis Connective Tissue Disease Study Section 2006-2011, of which he was Chairman 2008-2010. His research interests are in genetics and outcome of lupus and spondyloarthritis, as well as in HIV-associated rheumatic diseases.
