Jennifer Frustino, DDS, PhD

Dr. Frustino is the director of oral cancer screening and diagnostics in the Division of Oral Oncology & Maxillofacial Prosthetics at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. She graduated with a DDS degree from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and a PhD degree in cancer pathology and prevention from the University at Buffalo-Roswell Park Division. Dr. Frustino completed her residency and postdoctoral training in dental oncology and cancer prevention & population sciences at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Her past hospital affiliations include Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Brigham & Women's Hospital and the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center. Her research interests include early oral cancer detection, biomarkers in oral leukoplakia, dysplasia and cancer, and head and neck cancer chemoprevention. Her clinical practice includes all facets of general and hospital dentistry and dental oncology. She teaches general practice dental residents in the hospital setting.
