Potentially inappropriate medications for the geriatric population

This talk will highlight medications that are used in the practice of oral medicine that should be avoided or prescribed with caution in the geriatric population.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Provide an overview about BEER’s list and the other current relevant literature
  2. Illustrate the rational for the inappropriateness of specific medications for geriatric patient
  3. Suggest a list of safer alternatives based on clinical trials conducted in this population
