About the International Bulletin Board for Oral Medicine

| The AAOM sponsors the International Bulletin Board for Oral Medicine listserv. This e-mail based service is established to enhance discussion among clinicians, educators, and researchers involved in the field of oral medicine. In addition to providing a forum for discussion of challenging clinical issues, the listserv will improve communication between community and academic dental professionals in important areas such as research and patient referral/consultation.
If you subscribe to the IBBOM you will begin to receive e-mail from the listserver software of questions posed to the subscribers and of all answers from those that reply. You may pose questions or reply to questions with your own information and opinions as often as you wish. Other timely announcements about AAOM and issues of interest to those in the Oral Medicine field will be sent as needed.
The IBBOM membership list will periodically be distributed to all listserv members. The purpose of members getting the list is to facilitate professional communication; the list is the property of AAOM and the listserv site (and its coordinator) and is NOT to be used for commercial purposes without the consent of the AAOM executive board.
Please do not use the IBBOM for personal communications to individual members by replying to e-mail received from the IBBOM -- e-mail such communications directly to the individual you wish to receive your mail.
In the very near future this listserv will provide access to an archive of all previously posted messages as well as the capacity to attach digital picture files of clinical or histopathologic material. When these features become available you will be notified by e-mail.

| If you wish to join the IBBOM, please send a blank message to: join-ibbom@forums.nyu.edu which simply states "subscribe"
Within 24-48 hours of your request you will receive confirmation and instructions for using the IBBOM.
If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing list, send a blank email from the email address with which you receive IBBOM to:
"leave-ibbom@forums.nyu.edu" This forum is provided for discussion among the biomedical community of scientific and clinical topics related to Oral Medicine. When you send or reply to a message all members of the bulletin board will receive your comments. If you wish to reply only to the person who submitted a comment be sure to change the reply address to that person's email address (or else the whole world will know what you said.)
