The American Board of Oral Medicine Spring 2010 Examination Part A is scheduled for Tuesday, April 13, 2010, and Part B is scheduled for Wednesday, April 14, 2010. The examination is to be given in conjunction with the American Academy of Oral Medicine’s Annual Spring meeting at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Spa and Resort, Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico. The deadline for applications for both Part A and Part B is February 15, 2010. The full examination fee is due no later than March 13, 2010 ( 30 days before the exam) Part B applications are submitted with an application fee. Once the candidate is approved, the full examination fee is due no later than 30 days before the examination, which would be March 13, 2010.
The Part B examination will be somewhat changed for new candidates taking the examination in 2010. (Candidates re-taking sections will still follow the previous format.) With regard to the new format, there will not be separate sections for oral pathology , oral radiology and oral medicine -these areas will be combined as "Oral and Maxillofacial Diseases and Conditions."
