Arwa Farag, BDS, DMSc

Dr. Arwa Farag is an assistant professor at the Division of Oral Medicine, Department of Diagnostic Sciences, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM). Dr. Farag graduated from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She completed her residency training in oral medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and earned her Doctorate of Medical Science Degree (DMSc) from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She also completed her fellowship in TMD/orofacial pain at TUSDM. Dr. Farag is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Oral Medicine and the American Academy of Orofacial Pain. She is also a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeon of Edinburgh. Dr. Farag has a clinical interest in early detection of oral cancer, management of oral manifestation of systemic disease, and treatment of chronic orofacial pain cases. Her area of research focuses on immunology and she is currently involved in several multicenter clinical trials.
